Private, Stylish Accommodations:
Enjoy your own private studio with stunning views of Parque Mexico, nestled in a newly renovated, design-forward space in the heart of La Condesa.
This brutalist-inspired studio perfectly blends modern style and comfort.
Culinary Tour:
Savor three thoughtfully prepared meals each day, including reservations at some of Mexico City’s most celebrated restaurants
— Rosetta, Contramar, and Botánico among them!
Among the highlights of the trip is a private chef’s lunch and wine pairing set on a floating garden,
surrounded by golden fields of cempasúchil (marigolds), the flower of the dead.
As the scent of wood smoke mingles with the aromas of Indigenous-inspired dishes, we’ll gather beneath the open sky to
honor the season of remembrance. This soulful meal, rooted in ancestral traditions, offers a moment
of reflection and connection—both to the land and to those who came before us.
You’ll also enjoy curated mezcal and Mexican wine tastings led by a local sommelier,
deepening your connection to the flavors and stories of the region.
Xochimilco Canals:
Drift through the ancient, sacred waters of Mexico City’s historic canals, where the wisdom of Indigenous knowledge has nourished life for centuries.
Exclusive Access:
Gain personalized access to museums, galleries, libraries, private art salons, and architectural homes,
many of which are not open to the public. You’ll also enjoy private studio visits with local artists.
Cuban Salsa Night:
Experience the rhythm of Mexico City with a night of music and dancing (optional!)
at a hidden Cuban salsa club, offering an unforgettable taste of local nightlife.
Frida Kahlo and Luis Barragán Experience:
A curated exploration of Mexico City through the lens of Frida Kahlo and the visionary spaces of architect Luis Barragán.
Hidden Ofrendas:
Visit tucked away ofrendas (altars) across the city, experiencing the heart of
Dia de Muertos traditions in their most authentic form.
Ceremony of Reflection:
An opportunity for a special ceremony to honor and reflect on loved ones lost.
Led by local Indigenous healer Amalia, this intimate ceremony offers a sacred space to connect,
remember, and pay tribute to those who are no longer with us.

Explore some of Tancredi & Morgen’s favorite spots in Mexico City,
or take the time to relax with a massage and sauna at your leisure.

About Your Guide
My name is Megan. I’m the twin daughter of Roger and Marsha Alldis of Tancredi & Morgen, and the twin sister of Gwynneth Alldis. What you may not know is that I’m also a filmmaker.
I lived in Mexico City for three years and continue to work there regularly on a documentary I’m directing with the support of The Redford Center (Robert Redford’s environmental foundation). Over time, I’ve built close relationships with artists, chefs, curators, and musicians across the city. I’m thrilled to share these with you—to open a door to la ciudad detrás del telón (the city behind the curtain).

Mexico City offers a range of accommodations, and we’ve chosen a stylish, comfortable hotel in a vibrant area. However, be prepared for a few realities of staying in a developing city:
Water pressure in the showers may be lower than what you’re used to.
The hotel does not have air conditioning, but temperatures rarely exceed 75°F (27°C), and it can be quite cool at night.
Each room will have a portable fan, portable heater, and extra blankets, as temperatures can shift throughout the day.
-
A very fair question, and I get it a lot, especially as someone who has lived in and frequently travels to Mexico City. In my experience, I’ve never had any issues. That said, like any large city, there are always risks, but we’ll be traveling in a mini bus, minimizing exposure to any potential dangers. Street smarts are always advisable, no matter where you’re traveling.
Each attendee will be required to sign a liability waiver, acknowledging and accepting all risks involved and absolving both myself and Tancredi & Morgen from any harm. While we take every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip, we want you to feel informed and comfortable throughout.
-
Mexico City is located at an altitude of 7,350 feet (2,240 meters) above sea level. It’s important to be mindful of the effects of the altitude, especially if you're not accustomed to it.
Most people adjust within a day or two, but you may experience some mild symptoms such as shortness of breath or slight fatigue, especially during physical activities. It’s recommended to stay hydrated, take it easy during the first couple of days, and avoid excessive alcohol consumption to help your body adjust. Also, if you have high blood pressure please consult your doctor before traveling.
If you have any concerns or a history of altitude-related issues, please let me know beforehand, and I will ensure we provide support as needed.
-
What some refer to as “Montezuma’s Revenge” is a known occurrence when traveling to new places, as your body adjusts to new microorganisms. Even locals sometimes experience this. While it’s possible to have mild traveler's stomach issues (e.g., diarrhea, nausea), I have a local doctor on hand to help if needed. I also recommend consulting your own doctor before travel for any personal advice. More information on this will be provided in pre-trip manual and orientation call.
-
We will be reaching out prior to departure to confirm the emergency contact info you provide when booking. Additionally, let us know if you have any medical conditions or dietary restrictions that we should be aware of to ensure a comfortable and safe experience.
-
A virtual orientation (via Zoom) will be held before departure to go over trip details, answer any questions, and help you prepare. This is a great opportunity to meet other participants and ensure you're fully informed and excited for the journey ahead. We’ll also record the call and send it out to all participants that cannot attend.
